In the article a hygienic evaluation of conditions and character of work of nurses in educational establishments is presented. It is found that the structure of nurse’s practical activity meets, in general, their professional duties. The main activity makes 54, 62 % of the working time and, principally, includes the following components: prophylactic injections (35,75 %), participation in the out-patient reception (26,38 %), control of organization of children’s nutrition (11,20 %). It is noted that the nurse’s work in educational establishments can be referred to Class 3.2 by the indices of the intensity of the working process. The direc¬tions of scientific studies have been determined, taking into account perspectives of school medicine re-organization.
