Introduction. Currently the methodological recommendations for risk assessment for agricultural workers, including during aerial spraying, have been developed and officially approved in Ukraine. We conducted a series of field studies, the results of which were used in calculations of occupational risks when applying pesticides using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from the air during the treatment of agricultural crops.
Objective. To improve the methodology for assessing working conditions and calculating risks, taking into account the peculiarities of applying pesticides using agricultural drones.
Materials and methods. Analysis of literary sources, results of field and laboratory experiments, computer modeling of the process of spraying the working solution during the treatment of agricultural crops, statistical processing of the obtained results
The results.Taking into account the specifics of calculating risks for workers, we propose an addition to the methodological recommendations for assessing occupational risk, which will take into account the specifics of applying pesticides from the air using UAVs.
Conclusions. It is proposed to take into account some features when calculating the risks for workers carrying out applying pesticides by aerial spraying with a UAVs. The proposed additions will allow identifying potential risk factors and taking measures to prevent them.
