Hygienic aspects of LED industrial illumination for Ukrainian enterprises are examined.Prospects of LED illumination in the various countries and the state support of energy-saving illumination development are considered. The estimation of LED illumination efficiency and comparative analysis of parameters and characteristics of incandescent lamps, compact luminescent and LED lamps is given. Powerful white LEDs and the ways of white light pro-duction are analyzed.Optical, electrophysical and hygienic advantages and disadvantages of LED systems for industrial appli-cation are proved. New approaches to rationing of LED systems and the light environment at the industrial enterprises of Ukraine are estimated.

Key words: light-emitting diodes, LED, illumination, hygienic aspects, standardization
